Things change very quickly when the listings go up. We do offer the ability to place a deposit that will hold the animal for you until pick up/transportation arrangements can be made. Once the deposit is placed the animal is "ON HOLD" for you and is no longer AVAILABLE to anyone else...even if they offer more money. All of the advertisements are taken down.
This deposit is in no way ment to be a "payment plan".
The deposit is typically $100 and does come off of the total price of the animal. When you place the deposit you are entering into an agreement to complete the purchase. Because it takes time and money to relist an animal this deposit is NON REFUNDABLE. However if anything should happen to the animal prior to delivery your deposit will be promptly refunded.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ASK ALL QUESTIONS AND GET ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED PRIOR TO PLACING A DEPOSIT... AGAIN THIS DEPOSIT IS
IF YOU ARE NERVOUS OR DO NOT AGREE WITH THE PRACTICES OF OUR FARM...DO NOT PLACE A DEPOSIT.
We have had many many people to place a deposit then keep shopping. Days later when they find something else they want their deposit back after the animal was no longer available to anyone else during that time costing us time and money to relist. This just does not work for us very well.
Deposits are accepted on a first come first serve basis. NO ANIMAL IS "ON HOLD" WITHOUT A DEPOSIT AND REMAINS AVAILABLE UNTIL A DEPOSIT OR PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.
AGAIN DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE!!!!
Our Health Guarantee:
All puppies need to be vaccinated at 6 weeks, 9 weeks, 12 weeks and sometimes 16 weeks of age in order to build their own natural immune systems to many diseases including Parvo. The puppy's immune system has not reached it's optimum level until 3 weeks after the last injection. We provide the first injection which leaves a period of 9 to 13 weeks left while their immune system is building. During this time it is essential to minimize their chance of exposure to these diseases. Places such as pet stores, dog parks, parking areas around businesses and vets offices are some of the most dangerous places for an unprotected puppy to be. After delivery we have no control over where you choose to take your new puppy or who you choose to let handle or pet it. Because of this we can only guarantee that the puppy is healthy at the time we deliver it to you.
Take the puppy to a vet of your choosing within 72 hours of delivery. If the vet finds a life threatening condition with the puppy we will refund or replace the puppy. We will need the vets report on their letterhead and return of the puppy prior to any refund or replacement. This does not include parasites either internal or external. We have them on a treatment schedule here but there are periods during that schedule where parasites do exist. It is very common and the treatment is inexpensive.
WE WILL IN NO WAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VET BILLS.
If you consent to any treatment, the cost will be assumed by you alone. We cannot be held responsible for vet bills that we have not consented to.
Where noted our puppies come with CKC (Continental Kennel Club) Registration paperwork. We DO NOT offer any puppy with AKC (American Kennel Club) registration at all, nor can they ever be registered with AKC.
Our puppies are offered as pets only and are not being advertised or priced as "Show Quality" or "Breeding Stock", however if you choose to show or breed, it is entirely up to you and we put no restrictions on either.
We DO NOT provide the parents registration numbers prior to delivery for any reason...too many folks wanting to use our registration numbers to register their unregisterable scam puppies.
If you would like to see a puppy in person we will gladly meet with you at a public place. We will bring up to 2 puppies to a showing. The pups will not be allowed to be put on the ground or in your auto. You will not be able to handle the puppy prior to purchase. We have had NUMEROUS people that have gone to look at other puppies and have told us that they looked sick or have called us saying that they have just lost their dog to Parvo and want to come look at ours. REMEMBER any puppy that does not go home with you has to come home with us bringing all of the previous that has been transferred to it back to our place. We have no way of knowing what you have been exposed to or how many other puppies that you have looked at or handled.
Think about it like this:
How many people do you want me to let handle the puppy you want before you get it?? EXACTLY!!
As operators of a farm we often purchase animals. We as buyers take exception with any seller that places any restrictions as part of a sale. Restrictions such as registration or ability to bread the animal.
We feel that it is the buyers right to choose. The buyer has to feed and care for the animal and the decision making process should be theirs to enjoy.
We raise quality animals and are comfortable in knowing that with the investment that was made in our animals that they will be very well cared for.
We no longer bring folks that we meet through the internet to our farm and home. There are many reasons that caused us to move in this direction. We will cover some of them here in hopes that you can have a better understanding.
All advertising sites strongly advise meetings in public locations. IT JUST MAKES SENSE. You just don't know who is on the other end.
We have personally experienced people showing up intoxicated, loads of people piling out of a van and going in all directions, people not following our farm rules and feeding our animals leftover breakfast biscuits. We have also had property and animals that turned up missing after visits that we did not feel comfortable with.
Every person that comes through our property or has contact with our animals has the potential of introducing some MAJOR illnesses to our animals. These include: Parvo in dogs, Avian Influenza in all birds and Swine Flu with pigs. You expect us to deliver a healthy animal so we HAVE to take all steps to help insure that happens.
Folks want to come see a puppy and spend the day on the farm, play with the animals and experience the "feel" of the country life. Unfortunately this is a working farm and twice a day milking, daily feeding and watering, fence repair and grounds maintenance are all things that are not very glamorous but have to be attended to on a daily basis. There are just not enough hours in the day to conduct farm tours.
WE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE NUMEROUS SCAMS OUT THERE. WE GET PEOPLE TRYING TO SCAM US EVERYDAY. HECK, A LOT OF OUR FARM RULES AND PRACTICES ARE DERIVED FROM THEM. THIS IS THE BEST WAY WE KNOW TO PROTECT YOU AND OURSELVES. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH.
SCAMMERS DO NOT USE PAY PAL!!!!! WE DO!!!!! ENOUGH SAID!!!!!
NEVER SEND WESTERN UNION OR DEAL WITH ANYONE WHO PRESSURES YOU TO SEND FULL PAYMENT IN ADVANCE. NOW, IF YOU NEED MORE TIME TO TAKE POSSESSION THEN SOMETIMES FULL PAYMENT MAY BE REQUIRED....JUST USE COMMON SENSE.
EVEN THOUGH WE UNDERSTAND THIS FEAR, IF YOU ARE AT ALL NERVOUS OR DO NOT AGREE WITH THE PRACTICES OF OUR FARM....PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE AN ANIMAL FROM US....BE ABSOLUTELY SURE BEFORE YOU PROCEED PLEASE.
HOW IT WORKS
Over the years we have had experiences, both good and bad, that have molded the way that our farm operates. There are things that you will want us to do differently and things that we wish we could do differently. However, these practices seem to work best for your protection, our protection and most of all the protection of our animals.
The health of our animals:
We spend a lot of money and a lot of time insuring that our animals are healthy and happy. Feed alone is a HUGE expense. In order for our animals to get the most out of the feed they eat they must remain parasite free as much as possible. This is a MAJOR undertaking. Keeping them on a regular worming schedule is a tremendous investment in both money and time but absolutely essential for healthy animals even though at times it feels like a loosing battle.
Vaccinations are given as directed to provide as much protection as we can against the multitude of illnesses, diseases and infections that animals and birds are susceptible to.
In addition to these steps we do not take our adult animals off our farm and limit their exposure to as many outside people as is humanly possible.
An ounce of prevention is worth thousands in lost animals and trying to cure.
